Association of Electronics & Communication Engineering Students

The AEnCES (Association of Electronics and Communication Engineering Students) was inaugurated by Mr. Ramesh KN, Former Group Manager, Infosys for the academic year 2017-18. Mr. Ramesh KN is an expert in software development, product engineering and research activities.
In his inaugural address, he highlighted the importance of research development. He explained how publication is equivalent to currency for students interested in pursuing higher studies in institution of excellence. The academic and sports toppers were felicitated by the chief guest. In the technical talk, he addressed the importance of research and how it will benefit students and also about the requirements for it. He shared his experience from Infosys and explained different stages involved in the product life cycle. He inspired students to become lifelong learners and constantly update, follow the passion and not the money. He encouraged students to be unique in what they do. Dr. Ashwath Rao, HOD, Dept of ECE advised the students to take responsibility on themselves to be successful in life. Prof. Kiran Kumar addressed the gathering. Mr. Navaneeth president of AEnCES read out the events that will be carried out in the academic year 2017-18. Mr. Gurusiddayya, Coordinator, AEnces delivered the vote of thanks. The formal function was followed by cultural programme. Second, third and final year students put up 18 stage performances like singing, dancing, action song, mad ads and so on.

Association of Electronics and Communication Engineering Students (AEnCES), Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering for the academic year 2016 -17 was inaugurated by Mr. Vinod John, Business account Manager, Karmic Design Pvt Ltd.
He addressed the students on the importance of students association in engineering college which contributes to the development of their technical and interpersonal skills.
Dr. Jose Alex Mathew, Head of Department welcomed the gathering, by emphasising that this forum improves student’s self-confidence, involvement in extracurricular activities, Intellectual Qualities and fulfils their social obligation. He also highlighted that the AEnCEs motto should be to Excel in leadership and think about Start-Ups.
Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal, in his presidential remarks influenced students to pick up something new from these events and focus more on understanding the industry requirements for their future. Prof. S. S. Balakrishna, Vice-Principal, Prof B. S Umashankar, Dean were also present. Cultuaral events were organized after the formal function.
AEnCES, Student association inaugurated

AEnCES (Association of Electronics & Communication Engineering Students) the student association for the academic year 2015-16 was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. U C Niranjan, Adjunt Professor, MIT, Director - Research and Training, MDN Labs. He was happy to be given the opportunity to visit the college and to address the students. He asked students to concentrate on conducting workshops and seminars through the association to gain as much knowledge as possible from the experts. He later gave a technical talk on the various products and projects developed by MDN labs.
In his presidential remarks, Prof. B S Umashankar, Dean Academics, said that involving themselves fully in association activities will give them an edge and asked students to also take up opportunities for internship.
Dr. Jose Alex Mathew, HOD, Electronics & Communication Engineering, informed the students that AEnCES is a forum for students to improve their self-confidence and intellectual qualities and the motto of the Association should be `Get Placed And Help Others To Get Placed.’
A cultural programme by the students followed the formal inauguration.
AEnCES, Valedictory and Farewell for outgoing students

AEnCES, Association of Electronics and Communication Engineering Students for the academic year 2014-15, was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Jose Alex Mathew, HoD, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, PA College of Engineering, Mangalore . The chief guest addressed the gathering breifly during the formal function and later delivered a lecture on “Digital Image Processing in Medical Field”. Dr. Antony A. J., Vice principal, delivered the presidential address. Prof. M. N. Nayak, Administrator also addressed the gathering. Prof. Manoj Kumar, AEnCES Patron and HoD of department of Electronics and Communication Engineering enlightened the students with his enthusiastic talk.
Different and innovative models were prepared and decorated by the students and appreciated by everyone. The students showcased their talents through a cultural program.

AEnCES (Association of Electronics and Communication Engineering Students), student association of Electronics and Communication engineering organized a farewell for outgoing students in the campus. The Programme was inaugurated by the Head of the Department, Prof Manoj Kumar and Assistant Professor, Mr. Kiran Kumar, Mr. Sushan, President of the council, Mr. Ashok, Vice president, and Mr. Akash, Secretary were also present on the dais. Guest of honour, Prof Manoj Kumar addressed the final years students and wished them success ahead. Students of the E&C department who made remarkable achievement in various fields like sports, culture, academics, and projects were felicitated. The outgoing students shared their experiences at Sahyadri. Cultural programme was also organized on the occasion.
Inauguration AEnCES 2013-14

AEnCES (Association of Electronics & Communication Engineering Students) was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Kumar T., Principal, VCET, Puttur. The new office bearers for the academic year 2013-14 were elected. The President of the association, Mr. Lionel D’Souza gave an overview of the activities of the Association.Dr. Ashok Kumar T, the Chief Guest, delivered a technical talk on “Introduction to Image Processing” and spoke about the fundamentals of image processing. He advised the students to have sound balance between the academic and extra co-curricular activities. He focused on the various topics of day-to-day applications of image processing and also stressed on the need of eye donation.
Dr.Mohandas Bhat, Dean Academics, assured his full support to AEnCES and wished them the best in the coming events to be conducted by AEnCES. Dr.Timothy G. Lenihan, Dean Research addressed the students on this occasion. Prof.M. Manoj Kumar, the HoD, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, gave a call to the students to involve themselves in the technical events of the Association.

Traditional Day

AEnCES, conducts a `Traditional Day’ in the Campus to display Indian culture. Students came attired in ethnic wear. On the occasion, a technical talk was delivered by Dr. Ramesh Kini M., Associate Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, NITK, Surathkal, on "FPGA Architecture and its Design." He spoke on the architecture and design of Spartan 3E. Students showcased their talents through technical and cultural events. AEnCES, organised a three-day workshop on Circuit Simulation and PCB Design using OrCAD. FTD Automation Pvt. Ltd., with its headquarters in Bangalore, conducted the workshop in the Campus. Mr. Prashanth Kumar, Senior Application Engineer of the company gave a brief overview on the scope of PCB Design, companies working on it and awareness on getting electronics core jobs. Certificates were distributed to the participants on the final day of the workshop. FTD Automation Pvt. Inauguration AEnCES
The Department of Electronics & Communication inaugurated AEnCES (Association of Electronics & Communication Engineering Students) for the academic year 2012-2013. Dr. U. B. Pavanaja, Ex-Scientist, BARC, Mumbai was the chief guest. In his keynote address, he spoke about IT and ICT and said that it is the life of an engineering student. He related the IT industry to the Mahabharata.
Various technical and non-technical events such as Technomania 2012 which included tech quiz and identifying the electronic components was conducted. A total of twenty-five student teams and two staff teams took part. A cultural programme was also conducted.
