About the Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2007, since then it has been produced graduates who are excelling in the industries, entrepreneurship and higher studies. Department has been implementing Outcome Based Education (OBE) with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) for holistic development of the students, which is an essential model for any institute which aspires to be leader in the field of education. Batchelor of Engineering program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and also from Institute of Engineers (India).

Teaching-Learning Process is emphasized on:

➢ Project Based Learning: Students are encouraged to carryout projects in every year, there is an opportunity for a student to do more than six project within four years of study.
➢ Problem Based Learning: Student are trained to interact with society and industries to seek for Societal and Industrial problems, later those problems are taken as challenges to solve them in a scientific and engineering manner.
➢ Industry Oriented Learning: Students are constantly exposed to various industries and industrial experts from the First year till the final year. Apart from external industries, students of Mechanical Engineering have huge opportunities to work with on campus industries for their internship, projects, certifications, OJTs and placement.
➢ Cooperative and Collaborative Learning: Department of Mechanical imbibes the cooperative learning, where students will work as partners in various funded projects. In many cases students have conducted seminar to present their ideas and findings to teaching and students fraternity.
