Dept. of ECE holds its first Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting

Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) held its first Board of Studies (BoS) meeting on 11th Dec, 2021 for the current academic year 2021-22 as a part of Autonomous status granted to Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management (SCEM). The meeting mainly focused on the discussion of the syllabus content of the 1st year engineering for the courses such as Basic Electronics, Basic Electrical and Basic Electrical Laboratory to be offered by Dept. of ECE. The member expertise from academia and industry shared the insights and the exact need of the technical concepts in-line with the National Education Policy (NEP) to be included in the syllabi so that students are well equipped with strong fundamentals for the future level workforce.

Earlier in November 2021, by recommendations of the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, and the Government of Karnataka, Sahyadri is conferred with autonomy by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi for a period of 10 years (AY: 2021-22 to 2030-31).
