Director of IIIT-Allahabad visits Sahyadri

Honourable Dr. Nagabhushan P, Director of Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad visited Sahyadri on 23rd Dec’19. On moving around the campus and visiting the departments and the in-house companies and start-ups, he appreciated the initiatives to strengthen Industry Connect in the campus.
While speaking to the faculty, Dr. Nagabhushan addressed the flaws in present education system and acknowledged the transformation to be brought in the Engineering education. He also re-iterated that the attitude of teachers towards the students should change in terms of assessment techniques.
He illustrated the role of a teacher and insisted on quality teaching with continuous freedom in learning. The session was held in the presence of Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal; Prof. Balakrishna S S, Vice Principal; Dr. Rajesha, Dean-Academics and other faculty members.
