MBA Dept. hosted Union Budget Presentation Competition

Dept. of Business Administration, through its Stock Analytica and Finance Club, jointly organized a ‘Union Budget Presentation Competition’ on 13th Aug, 2024. The event saw participation from eight teams, each representing different sectors of the economy. The competition was judged by two esteemed judges - CA Frenil Dsouza, Senior Partner at ASCA LLP, Mangalore and Prof. Ramakrishna B M, Coordinator of the Department of P.G. Studies in Economics at University College, Hampankatta. The teams showcased the in-depth analysis of the budget, with each presentation followed by a rigorous Q&A session where the judges tested the participants' critical thinking ability on various budgetary aspects.

The event wrapped up with insightful feedback from the judges on both the budget and the presentations. CA Frenil Dsouza shared his expertise, while Prof. Ramakrishna B M offered his perspectives on economic policies. Their comments helped the participants gain a better understanding of the budget and encouraged them to think more critically about economic issues. The competition helped students to deepen their knowledge of the Union Budget.

C_Net Corporation, Japan is hiring Computer Science and Information Science engineering students from the 2025 outgoing batch for the position of IT Engineer.

The 78th Independence Day Celebration will be held in the Campus on 15th Aug, 2024 and the National Flag will be hoisted by the Chief Guest – Ms. Padmashree Alva, Director-Chief of Staff to the Founder & CEO, MResult.

Chief Guest Profile: Ms. Padmashree Alva has 20+ years of diverse experience in Human Resources. Her specializations are in Talent Acquisition, Strategy, Operations, Culture Change and People Management; pre-dominantly in IT/ITES and Legal domains. She is currently a Senior Director & Chief of Staff at MResult and is based out of Bangalore. Padmashree is an avid trekker, loves reading poems & art, an amateur writer and believes that the world can be a better place with a little bit of empathy.
