Alumnus of CSE (AI & ML) appointed as Project Associate at NITK Surathkal

Tejas Rao, an alumnus from Dept. of CSE (AI & ML) of 2020-2024 Batch has been appointed as a Project Associate at Department of CSE, NITK Surathkal. He will be working under the guidance of Dr. Radhika to enhance the security of SELinux/SEAndroid policies by developing and optimizing security modules using Python.

His responsibilities include automating policy analysis, refining access controls, and improving overall system security configurations.

Anti-Ragging Pledge taken by Sahyadrians

As a part of observing ‘Anti-Ragging Month’, students of Sahyadri took a collective pledge to maintain a ragging-free Campus and promote a culture of respect, inclusivity and harmony.
On 30th Aug ‘2024, students of first year MBA took the anti-ragging oath prescribed by the UGC. The pledge was to promise that a student shall not indulge in ragging or any form of violent behaviour in the campus. Neither shall he or she tolerate being ragged or subjected to violence, to understand that if one is accused of ragging, the responsibility is on one’s shoulder to prove that he or she is not guilty.
The pledge was also not to remain a spectator during acts of ragging in the Campus but to report the matter immediately to the Principal, Director or to Anti-Ragging Cell, New Delhi, using Helpline number 1800-180-5522 or writing to helpline@antiragging.in.
Prof. Padmanabha B, Dept. of Business Administration and Ms. Smitha Shenoy, NSS officer administered the oath. Ms. Rashmitha Nishal, SWO and Mr. Nikhil YS, Asst. SWO were present. The event was organized by NSS Unit and Anti-Ragging Cell of Sahyadri.

National Sports Day at Sahyadri

The National sports day was celebrated by conducting indoor games for staff and students on 29th Aug, 2024 at Dept. of Physical Education. Table tennis, carrom, chess tournament was organized for staff and students. More than 25 staff and student enthusiasts participated in these tournaments. Physical Education Director - Ms. Ramya P distributed the prizes to the Winners.
