42Gears is a Bengaluru-based tech company that provides software to manage and secure mobile devices, laptops, wearables, and other digital tools used in businesses. Their main product, SureMDM, helps companies control devices remotely. Founded in 2009, 42Gears supports customers in over 170 countries and works across Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.

MBA Faculty received the Best Paper Award at an International Conference

Prof. Sanath Kumar K, Department of Business Administration-MBA, presented a research paper titled “AI Revolution in Real Time: Unpacking the Market Ripples of DeepSeek-R1 on Wall Street and Shanghai: An Event Study,” at the International Conference on “Business Analytics and Intelligence” – “BAIN 2025” conducted by Department of MBA, CMRIT on 16th & 17th May 2025 which received the Best Paper Award – Second Position, along with a Cash Prize of Rs.7500.

The study examined the impact of Deep Seek AI, a breakthrough in Large Language Models (LLMs), on the stock market performance of Shanghai Stock Exchange of China and the Nasdaq Composite Index of USA, using the event study methodology. Through this analysis, the paper provides insights into the economic implications of AI technology and its potential to disrupt industries, offering valuable perspectives on investor behaviour and stock market trends in response to cutting-edge developments in Artificial Intelligence.
