VTU Inter-Collegiate Mangaluru Division Throwball Tournament-2024 organized at Sahyadri
VTU Inter-Collegiate Mangaluru Division women’s Throwball Tournament was organized on 14th February, 2024 at Sahyadri. Dr. Pushpalatha K, HOD, Dept of CSE (AIML) was the Chief Guest and Ms. Sanjana D, State level Throwball player & Alumni of Sahyadri, Guest of Honour for the Inaugural Function Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, presided over the event. Mr. Karnakumar K S and Ms. Ramya P, Physical Education Directors were also present. Cutting the ribbon and serving the ball marked inauguration of the event. Total of 11 teams from various colleges throughout Mangaluru participated in this tournament. St. Joseph CE, Vamanjoor emerged as the Winners of the tournament, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management bagged the Runner-Up Trophy.
VTU Inter-Collegiate Mangaluru Division Cricket Tournament organized at Sahyadri
VTU Inter-Collegiate Mangaluru Division Cricket Tournament (Men) was organized in Sahyadri Ground, during 12th to 21st Dec, 2023. Mr. Samuel Jayaraj Muthu, Cricket Coach Mangaluru inaugurated the Tournament. Mr. Niranjan Bhat and Mr. Bhuvith G Kulal, Guests of Honour & Dr. S S Injaganeri, Principal, in his Presidential speech. A total of 17 teams from various colleges across Mangaluru participated in this tournament. NMAMIT, Nitte emerged as the Winners of the tournament and Bearys IT bagged the Runner- Up Trophy.
Congratulations to the Athletics Team
Sahyadri Women Athletics team Emerged Champions with 65 Points and Overall Runners (Men & Women Combined) with 82 points and also first place in March past at the VTU 25th Inter-Collegiate state level Athletic Championship held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, Mysuru Organised by VTU Regional Centre, Mysuru during 26th to 29th June 2024. A total of 1,584 Athletes from 129 colleges in total, participated in this competition.

Sahyadri Boys Volleyball team are 8th time Champions in the VTU Inter-Collegiate Mangaluru Division Volleyball Championship held at SDMIT, Ujire on 22nd Feb, 2024. Mr. Mohammed Thwaif, was awarded as Best Attacker and Mr. Achithiya was awarded as Best Setter of the Tournament & 3rd Place in VTU State level Volleyball Tournament held at SDMIT, Ujire on 23rd & 24th Feb, 2024.

In the event 'Engineer 2018' held at NITK, Suratkal, first year engineering students won 1st and 2nd place in light follower. There were 2 light follower bot from Sahyadri. The team won 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in line follower out of 5 bot from Sahyadri. The team was mentored by Hrithvik Patel from 2nd year Electronics & Communication Engineering and Lakshmeesha P Kotian from 2nd year Computer Science & Engineering.

By the support of Dtlabz and under the mentoring of Thruptesh V, students of 1st year Engineering participated in various events like Hovercraft, Line follower and thrust in the recently held fest at National Institute of Technology, Warangal. Team Trojans consisting of 16 students have occupied 6th place in Hovercraft, 4th and 7th position in Line follower and 7th place in Thrust events. Proud moment for them was that the other teams which attended the events were consisting of students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year; however the team of Sahyadri were from first year.
