The Internet Never Forgets: A Powerful Message from Mr. Laviero Buono, Head of Section – European Criminal Law, Academy of European Law, Germany

Mr. Laviero Buono, Head of Section – European Criminal Law, Academy of European Law, Germany, addressed the MBA students on 3rd Dec, 2025. Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director–MBA Program, welcomed him and appreciated his long journey to Mangalore, recalling how their first interaction began through emails a year ago before meeting in person at Sahyadri.
Mr. Buono discussed why most modern crimes are technology-driven and urged students to reflect on their mobile usage, reminding them that platforms like Google often know more about us than the people around us. He introduced concepts such as IP addresses, proxy servers, cryptocurrency, and open-source intelligence tools like Archive.org, explaining how digital footprints offer both opportunities and vulnerabilities.
He demonstrated how easily online content can be manipulated, for instance, by replicating a news website and presenting a fake screenshot as evidence, highlighting the need for strong digital verification skills. Stressing that “the internet does not forget,” he cited cases where online posts had irreversible consequences, including a woman who was tragically killed after a tweet went viral during her flight.

Mr. Buono also referenced digital traces linked to the 9/11 attacks, urging students to understand how quickly technology evolves, three times faster than business, while business itself moves ahead of the law. His visuals comparing the last 40 years of technology and business with 80 years of legal development highlighted this gap.
He concluded that for legal practitioners, technological awareness is not optional but essential. In today’s world, we are “playing poker with cybercriminals,” and only with well-informed police officers, judges, and advocates can society effectively track and trap cyber offenders.

The delegates were warmly welcomed by Dr. Sudheer Shetty, Vice Principal, and the Sahyadri team. A short briefing about the institution was presented, followed by discussions on collaboration opportunities.
The guests then visited Sahyadri’s state-of-the-art skill development labs, innovation hubs, and incubation centres that nurture research, technology development, and student entrepreneurship.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with both institutions expressing interest in exploring mutually beneficial partnerships.

Manjunath Bhandary as Speaker at the Roundtable on ‘Policy as the Catalyst: Shaping Digital Excellence in Higher Education’ at Digii100 Summit ’25 in New Delhi

Mr. Manjunath Bhandary was at the prestigious DIGII Summit 2025 held in New Delhi on 13th Dec 2025. He was a distinguished speaker at the Digii100 Summit Roundtable on the theme “Policy as the Catalyst: Shaping Digital Excellence in Higher Education.”
The high-level policy roundtable brought together eminent leaders from academia, government, and global higher education bodies to deliberate on the role of policy frameworks in driving digital transformation, quality assurance, and innovation in higher education institutions across India.

Office Bearers of Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe, Tiptur visited Sahyadri

The Office Bearers of Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe, Tiptur, visited Sahyadri on 13th Dec ‘2025, to explore potential avenues for academic and institutional collaboration.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and the Dean – Academics. The visit commenced with a brief presentation on Sahyadri, highlighting the institution’s vision, academic excellence, research ecosystem, innovation-driven culture, and strong focus on entrepreneurship and incubation.

The guests were then taken through a campus walkthrough of Sahyadri’s state-of-the-art skill development laboratories, innovation hubs, and incubation centres, which play a vital role in fostering hands-on learning, technology development, applied research, and student-led start-ups.
Impressed by Sahyadri’s robust academic and innovation infrastructure, the Office Bearers expressed keen interest in deputing faculty members from Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe to gain deeper insights into Sahyadri’s facilitation models, teaching–learning practices, and research support systems.

Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, Chairman of the Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru inaugurated the Freshers’ Day for the 1st year Engineering students

The institution celebrated Freshers’ Day for the Engineering students of the 2025–26 batch on 8th Dec 2025. Dr. Prashantha Rao, Dean of Student Welfare and Head of the Basic Science Department, delivered the Welcome Address, extending warm greetings to the freshers and dignitaries. The inauguration ceremony took place with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge, hope, and new beginnings.
The esteemed guest, Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, Chairman of the Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, was introduced by Dr. Jyothi Serrao, after which he addressed the gathering with inspiring words that motivated students to dream boldly and work passionately. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Johnson Tellis, CEO and Trustee, further enriched the programme with his insightful address. Later, Dr. Sudheer Shetty, the Vice Principal addressed the gathering.

Dr. S.S. Injaganeri, the Principal then delivered the Presidential Address, sharing guidance and encouragement with the new batch. As a gesture of respect, a memento was presented to the chief guest. The event concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Savitha M. B, Dept. of Basic Science, expressing gratitude to all contributors. Sahyadri team attended CII InSync Mangaluru – CHRO–Academia Meet on the theme “Bridging Campus and Corporate”

The CII InSync Mangaluru – CHRO–Academia Meet was conducted at Wrk Wrk, Mangalore, centred around the theme “Bridging Campus and Corporate.” The event brought together industry leaders, HR professionals, and distinguished academicians to explore strategies for building a future-ready talent ecosystem that aligns academic capabilities with corporate expectations. Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, along with Mr. Ramesh K. G., Dr. Duddela Sai Prashanth, and Mr. Varun C. S., represented the college. Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management served as the institutional partner for the programme.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Sreekanth K. Arimanithaya, CEO of Xarpie Labs and Managing Partner, Singularity University India. This was followed by a thematic session on “Future Ready Talent,” featuring insights from experts across technology, HR, and academia. The speakers—Dr. Mani Madhukar (IBM Innovation Centre for Education), Mr. Balaji Mahalingam Srinivasan (Bosch Limited), Mr. Sudheer Pai (Infosys), and Ms. Shipra Rai (Niveus Solutions)—shared their perspectives on the competencies required for future-ready professionals and the initiatives undertaken within their organizations to nurture such talent.
A panel discussion on “Bridging Academia and Industry for a Future-Ready Talent Ecosystem” further enriched the event. Moderated by Mr. Jhonson Tellis, CEO, INUNITY, the panel included Mr. Veeranagouda Patil (Danfoss), Ms. Shwetha Vasudeva (ASM Technologies), Prof. Dr. A. N. The interaction focused on emerging trends in technical education across the country and the ongoing developmental initiatives at Sahyadri aimed at enhancing value for all stakeholders. During the meeting, the Chairman invited the Vice-Chancellor to visit the Sahyadri campus to interact with faculty members and share insights on strengthening the quality of teaching, training, and research. ECE Alumna Commissioned as Flying Officer in Indian Air Force

Ms. Anmol Soni (Batch: 2019–2023) from the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) has been commissioned as a Flying Officer (Flying Branch) in the Indian Air Force at Air Force Station Dundigal, Hyderabad.
She achieved this distinction under the Short Service Commission (Pilot Branch) through a direct technical interview. Notably, she was the only woman selected across India this year, securing the All India First Rank, marking a historic milestone.
During her academic tenure, Ms. Anmol Soni was an active member of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and demonstrated a strong commitment to serving the nation in uniform. Her achievement reflects sustained dedication, discipline, and clarity of purpose.
Anmol’s journey is not just an individual success; it is a historic inspiration for countless aspirants, especially young women who dare to dream beyond convention. Her achievement reflects resilience, excellence, and the values nurtured during her academic journey.

Placement and Training: A Power-Packed Sahyadri Job Fair: 28 Companies, 800+ Students

The Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) – Cum Job Fair was successfully held on 5th December, beginning with a vibrant inaugural ceremony. Shri Rahul Asati, Assistant Director of Training, BOAT (Southern Region), inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering with inspiring insights on industry expectations and apprenticeship opportunities.
Principal Dr. S. S. Injaganeri and Dean – Placements & Training, Ms. Rashmi Bhandary, graced the occasion and highlighted the importance of industry–academia collaboration in shaping students’ careers.

The fair witnessed an overwhelming response, with nearly 28 reputed companies from diverse sectors participating in the drive. Over 800 students from various Engineering, General Graduates and Diploma streams enthusiastically attended, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
The event served as a dynamic platform for students to explore job and apprenticeship opportunities, interact directly with company representatives, and gain clarity on career pathways. Recruiters appreciated the excellent hospitality, smooth coordination, and the high-quality talent pool. Overall, the BOAT Job Fair emerged as a high-impact career event, opening new doors for students and strengthening the institution’s commitment to empowering young professionals.

Final Year BBA students of GFGC, Kaup visited Sahyadri

Final-year BBA students, accompanied by two faculty members from Government First Grade College, Kaup, visited Sahyadri as part of an initiative to offer them practical exposure to industrial operations, entrepreneurial activities, and incubation facilities.
Ms. Manasa Shetty, along with student representatives from the Sahyadri Management Students Association, welcomed the group and coordinated a comprehensive campus visit. The students visited various in-house companies, startups, incubation centres, and launchpads, where they interacted with representatives and gained valuable insights into the functioning of each unit.
The group was later addressed by Prof. Ramesh K. G. and Prof. Padmanabha B., who explained how Sahyadri supports students in transforming their ideas into entrepreneurial ventures through the incubation centre. They also highlighted the significance of pursuing postgraduate studies to better prepare for corporate careers.

Alumni interaction with the final year MBA students

Kishor P, an alumnus of the 2023–2025 batch from the Department of Business Administration and currently working as an Administrator in Finance at Harsha (Prakash Pvt. Ltd.), addressed the final year MBA students about the functioning of the retail sector. He explained how retail operations work, the coordination between departments, and the importance of customer service and inventory management. He also highlighted the key roles and responsibilities of Department Managers and Store Managers. He discussed the career opportunities available for students in the retail sector in the coming days.

Team Sahyadri at ‘DAKSH & Open Day’ event at Christ University, Bangalore

A team comprising Dr. Vaishak N. L., Prof. Ramesh K. G., Prof. Padmanabha B., and Dr. Prashanth Duddela visited Christ University, Central Campus, Bengaluru, on 29 November 2025 to study the organization and functioning of the university’s Open Day and DAKSH events. The objective of the visit was to understand how a large higher education institution conceptualizes, plans, and executes student-driven outreach programmes aimed at prospective students and their families. Christ University, a NAAC A+ accredited multi-campus institution, offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Its major campuses—Central Bengaluru (Hosur Road), Bannerghatta Road, Kengeri, and Yeshwanthpur—operate with uniform academic structures, curriculum designs, and evaluation frameworks, ensuring seamless consistency across all locations.
At the Bannerghatta Road Campus, the Open Day was entirely student-led, with trained student volunteers representing academic departments, degree programmes, centres of excellence, and activity-based clubs. The stalls featured information on UG and PG programmes, alumni achievements, research initiatives, placement statistics, and co-curricular units such as NSS, NCC, cultural teams, and sports. External visitors had the opportunity to interact directly with student volunteers, while faculty participation at the forefront was intentionally limited. The Open Day was open to the general public across all Christ University campuses.
At the Central Campus near Dairy Circle, DAKSH showcased programmes offered across all university campuses, ensuring uniformity of information. For instance, the stall for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering provided comprehensive details on curriculum, evaluation methods, infrastructure, and student opportunities available across the four campuses offering the programme. DAKSH also showcased student life, extracurricular clubs, innovation hubs, entrepreneurship cells, and community engagement initiatives. Dr. Sandhya, Faculty, Christ University, Yeshwanthpur Campus coordinated the visit.

HR Club of MBA Dept. organized a ‘Team Building’ session for first-year MBAs

On 1st December 2025, the HR Club of the Department of Business Administration organized an energetic team-building session for the first-year MBA students. Through engaging activities like group puzzles and collaborative challenges, juniors explored teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in a fun and interactive way.
The event was smoothly coordinated by the second-year as well as first-year HR Club members, who guided the teams throughout the session. Faculty Coordinator Prof. Padmanabha B appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of team-building in managerial learning. The activity helped the new batch bond, interact freely, and experience the value of teamwork—making it a refreshing start to their MBA journey.

Sahyadri team participated in the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) Regional Meet 2025

On 2nd Dec, 2025, students and faculty from participated in the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) Regional Meet 2025, hosted by M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and AICTE, Government of India.
A total of 15 teams from Sahyadri were shortlisted for the AICTE Productization Fellowship, while three teams qualified for the Yukthi Innovation Challenge 2025. All shortlisted teams were evaluated during the regional meet, highlighting the institution’s strong presence in national-level innovation platforms.
Representing Sahyadri at the event were Dr. Manjappa Sarathi, Director-R&D and President – Sahyadri Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC); Dr. Anush Bekal, HoD, ECE and Vice President – Sahyadri Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC); Prof. Harisha, CSE and Convener – Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
In a moment of pride, Sahyadri received a Certificate of Appreciation for presenting the Best IIC Poster at the meeting. The IIC Regional Meet 2025 brought together innovators, educators, start-ups, researchers, and ecosystem enablers from across the region, strengthening the nation’s collective commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

MBA Alumni (2021-23 Batch) interacts with 1st year Students

Aparna Rajendra Nair, an alumna of the 2021–23 MBA batch, visited the campus and interacted with the first-year MBA students. During her talk, she emphasized the value of undertaking internships during the MBA program, as they offer valuable exposure to real-world organizational functioning. As an HR specialization graduate, she shared her professional experiences and highlighted that HR extends far beyond recruitment. She introduced students to various other HR domains such as HR Analytics, Labour Law Compliance, and Payroll Administration.
Aparna encouraged students to work on meaningful, topic-driven projects aligned with current industry trends to enhance their chances of securing placements in top companies. She also stressed the significance of Microsoft Excel as a tool for data analysis and informed decision-making that supports organizational growth. Additionally, she advised students to stay updated with the newly implemented Labour Codes across India, noting that non-compliance may create serious challenges for organizations.
After completing her MBA in HR, Aparna worked as a Human Resource Associate at NoBroker and is currently employed with Bhanzu as a Human Resource Trainee in HR Operations.

Sahyadri Girls Team emerged as the runner-up in the VTU Throwball Tournament

Sahyadri Girls’ Throwball Team emerged as runners-up in the VTU Mangaluru Division and VTU State-Level Throwball Tournament held at SDMIT, Ujire, on 3rd and 4th December 2025. In the State-Level Tournament, Ms. Diya H. Shetty was awarded the Best All-Rounder, and Ms. Kushi Rai was awarded the Best Receiver.

Department of Business Administration hosted the leadership team from Discover Dollar Inc., who visited the campus for an insightful interaction with the students. The session brought together four distinguished delegates: Mr. Subrahmanya Rao N. S. – Founder & CEO, Mr. Abijith B. A. – Head of Audit Operations, CA Manasa Pai M. – Lead Financial Analyst, Mr. Pawan Kuldip – People and Culture, Discover Dollar Inc.
The highlight of the session was the thought-provoking address by Mr. Subrahmanya Rao, who discussed the evolving career opportunities in finance in the AI era. He emphasised that “AI will not take finance jobs, but it will take away finance jobs that don’t use AI,” urging students to adopt an AI-first mindset. He encouraged them to take up small AI projects, pursue smart internships, and develop deep expertise in both a specific domain and one AI tool over the next 12–24 months.

Further, Mr. Abhijith B. A. and CA Manasa Pai offered valuable insights into the various dimensions of recovery audit work undertaken at Discover Dollar. They explained how the company identifies revenue leakages such as overpayments, duplicate entries, cash discounts, volume rebates, and missed promotions—helping corporations recover significant financial value. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where the delegates provided prompt and detailed responses to the students’ questions.

MBA students to represent VTU at the All-India South Zone Inter University Volleyball Championship

Mr. Adithya H Shetty, 3rd Semester MBA, and Mr. Akash H V, 1st Semester MBA, are representing VTU at the All-India South Zone Inter-University Volleyball Championship to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (AP) from 10th to 14th December, 2025.

Swiggy Placement Drive for MBA students

The Swiggy placement drive was held at Sahyadri on 8th Dec, 2025 to hire students for the role of Sales Management Associate. Swiggy’s recruitment team, represented by Mr. Prajnesh and Mr. Mithun, began the session with a pre-placement talk, during which they shared insights about Swiggy’s growth journey, future roadmap, the job role, and the career prospects it offers.
The drive commenced with a Group Discussion, where 20 MBA students from different specialisations participated. Following the discussion, 11 students were shortlisted for the technical interview round. The final results are awaited.

ED Club organized ‘Sales Wars’, a Live Market

The Entrepreneurship Development Club of the MBA Department organised ‘SALES WARS’ – Live Market, giving students a lively platform to experience real-time selling. The event also featured a unique intra-house competition that brought seniors and juniors of the same house into a healthy competitive matchup, showcasing their creativity, selling skills, and marketing strategies.
The activity offered valuable hands-on learning by helping students understand customer behaviour, pricing, teamwork, and communication. ‘SALES WARS’ strengthened their sales abilities and entrepreneurial mindset, ending on a high note with participants feeling motivated and better prepared for future business challenges.

Sahyadri Kabaddi League (SKL–2025), an inter-class Kabaddi tournament for Men and Women students from all branches of Engineering and MBA, was held from 25th November 2025 to 2nd December 2025 at the Sahyadri Srishti Auditorium. The event was organized by the Department of Physical Education, along with the final-year students namely Sujith Prasad, Athreya Adyanthaya, and Vamsh K. Shetty. Bharat Shakti: Catalysing Innovation for an Aspirational Bharat (AI & Quantum Symposium)

Department of CSE (AI & ML), in association with the SHINE Foundation under the GENESIS Scheme, successfully hosted the AI & Quantum Symposium – Bharat Shakti: Catalysing Innovation for an Aspirational Bharat on 10th December 2025. The symposium brought together distinguished experts in Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Science, and emerging technologies to provide students with forward-looking insights into India’s technological future.
The event commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Pushpalatha K., Head of the Department, followed by the presidential Address by Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, who emphasized the importance of technological curiosity, innovation, and active student involvement in shaping India’s rapidly evolving tech landscape.
Prof. Udaya Birje Raghunath, Cofounder of ThinkStreet Technologies and Professor of Practice at the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, delivered an inspiring session focusing on the development of indigenous technologies to strengthen Aatma Nirbhar Bharat. He highlighted the potential for students to contribute to making Mangaluru a growing technology hub and shared five principles of authentic leadership, motivating students to lead with clarity, purpose, and integrity.

Shri Madhav Bissa, Director of Artificial Intelligence & Data Sciences at Nasscom.ai, engaged the audience with an interactive session on intelligent systems and agentic AI. He encouraged students to build future-ready skills and understand the transformative impact of AI on India’s technological growth.
Prof. P. C. Deshmukh, Quantum Scientist at IIT Madras and IIT Tirupati, and Advisor at BharatWHYTEC, offered a compelling perspective on the future of quantum technology and its potential to revolutionize global computing. CSE Department Organized a Session on VisionX: Entrepreneurs Designing with AI

The Department of CSE, Sahyadri, hosted an inspiring session on “VisionX: Entrepreneurs Designing with AI”, delivered by Mr. Sarthak Jain, TEDx Speaker, Microsoft MVP, and Head of Communities at ID8NXT. With his vast experience of mentoring 1 lakh+ students and contributing to 200+ hackathons across India, he encouraged students to think creatively and use AI combined with design thinking to build meaningful, scalable solutions.
Mr. Jain discussed how AI is reshaping industries—from healthcare to finance—and guided participants on identifying real-world challenges, developing intelligent prototypes, and pitching business-ready ideas. The session gave students valuable exposure to innovation, product design, and entrepreneurial strategy, motivating them to pursue AI-driven ventures.

The program opened with a welcome address by Mr. Srinivas P M, who highlighted the rising importance of Artificial Intelligence in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape. The event was smoothly coordinated by Mr. Srinivas P M, with support from IIC Coordinator Mr. Prajwal Rao, and was effectively anchored by Ms. Shivalika from 3C, who served as the Master of Ceremony.

The two-day workshop on ‘Processes for NBA Accreditation (Tier-I)’, was inaugurated on 12th Dec, 2025. The Resource Person Prof. G. M. Madhu, HoD & IQAC Coordinator, M.S.R.I.T., Bengaluru graced the inauguration.
Dr. Sudheer Shetty, Vice Principal, welcomed the gathering and the objective of organizing the workshop was highlighted by Dr. Shamanth Rai, Dean–Academics. Prof. G. M. Madhu outlined the requirements and processes of NBA accreditation and emphasized its role in determining the quality of the programs.
In his Presidential address, Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, highlighted the importance of such initiatives and called for the active participation of faculty members. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vasudeva Rao P V, IQAC Coordinator. Mrs. Anuradha Nithin, AAO compered the program.

Sahyadri Students at Applied AI and Scientific Machine Learning, IISC Bengaluru

Day 1: At CASML 2025 (IISc Bangalore), Nihal, Ashil, Karthik, and Shrinidhi (ISE) along with Anshitha (ECE) became the first undergraduates to present an oral paper. Their work, “Quantum-Inspired Local Tensor Regression,” ranked among the top three oral presentations, competing with leading global institutions, under the mentorship of Dr. Shamanth Rai and Dr. Rithesh Pakkala. The day featured keynote talks by leaders from NVIDIA, Google DeepMind, ANRF, and other global organizations.
Day 2: Focused on applied and industry-driven AI, with speakers from MeitY, NVIDIA, Meta, and IBM discussing Generative AI, national digital transformation, and foundation models. Highlights included an NVIDIA-led hands-on workshop on LLM development and sessions on LLM-powered search systems and time-series foundation models.
Day 3: The theme “India’s Leap into Foundational Models” emphasized strategic AI adoption through plenary talks by IISc and Indian Army leadership, along with a spotlight presentation on LLM evaluation frameworks. A key highlight was Google’s intensive hands-on workshop on training large language models using TPUs.
Day 4: Marked a historic moment as Shetty Nihal Naveen (ISE) delivered an oral presentation on Quantum-Inspired Local Tensor Regression, becoming the first undergraduate to do so at CASML. The conference concluded with plenary sessions by Prof. Anima Anandkumar (Caltech) and Prof. George Em Karniadakis (Brown University) on neural operators and agentic scientific machine learning.

CSE Dept. Inaugurates NSM-Sponsored FDP on HPC and Artificial Intelligence

Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering inaugurated a 5-Day Offline Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence’, sponsored by the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM)—a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at achieving self-reliance in supercomputing and large-scale capacity building.
The inauguration marked a significant step toward strengthening teaching, research, and skill development in the rapidly evolving domains of HPC and AI. Under NSM initiatives, more than 26,000 professionals have already been trained nationwide through FDPs and specialized programs, reinforcing India’s deep-tech ecosystem. The FDP has drawn over 50 faculty members and researchers from various institutions, reflecting strong academic interest and collaborative participation in advanced computing education.
The inaugural ceremony began with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi, HoD, CSE & Organizing Chair, who highlighted the importance of HPC–AI convergence in modern research and education. This was followed by Dr. Ajith Padyana, Program Director, VTU-VRIF-TCoE, presenting a comprehensive overview of the five-day FDP, outlining the specialized technical sessions and hands-on components.

The event featured a distinguished panel of speakers. Dr. Rahulkumar Gayatri, Principal High Performance Computing Architect at the National Energy Research Supercomputing Centre (NERSC), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA, delivered the keynote address. Emphasizing the foundational role of HPC in AI advancements, he remarked that “Today’s AI revolution is running on yesterday’s HPC investments.” Dr. D. B. Kulkarni, Professor at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, and NSM Nodal Centre Head, addressed the participants as the Guest of Honour, highlighting the mission, vision, and impact of NSM, and the relevance of this FDP in national capacity building.

The function was presided over by Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, who encouraged faculty members to actively engage in research-driven initiatives. Vice-Principal Dr. Sudheer Shetty graced the occasion with his presence and extended his wholehearted support towards the successful conduct of the FDP. Sri Devadas Hegde, Trustee, assured full support from the management for academic and research excellence.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Vidya V. V., and was efficiently compered by Dr. Joyline D’Sa. This five-day FDP forms part of NSM’s broader objective to democratize access to world-class computational resources and to build a future-ready talent pool in advanced computing, AI, and deep-tech research across Indian academic institutions.

A session titled “Beyond the Unseen Face: The Human Rights Plight of Trafficked Women & Girls” was conducted for 1st year MBA students on 15th Dec 2025 to create awareness about human trafficking and related human rights issues. The programme featured addresses by Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director – MBA; Lion Rajesh Kamath, President, Lions Club Mangalore; Lion Vinayak Pai, Treasurer, Lions Club; and Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal. The Principal was felicitated by Lions Club Mangalore. The technical session was delivered by Dr. Paul Acquinas, whose insights on trafficking, legal aspects, and social responsibility made the session informative and impactful.

The two-day workshop on “Processes for NBA Accreditation (Tier–I)”, held on 12th and 13th December 2025 at Sahyadri.
On 12th Dec. 2025 the resource person Prof. G. M. Madhu, HoD & IQAC Coordinator, M.S.R.I.T, Bengaluru, interacted with the Heads of Departments in the Boardroom. During this session, he outlined the NBA accreditation processes in detail and addressed the queries raised by the HoDs and coordinators.
On Day 2 (13th December 2025), the workshop was conducted for the non-circuit branches (MERA, MBA, and BS). The HoDs and faculty members of these departments actively participated in the session. Following the workshop, Prof. G. M. Madhu interacted with the MBA team, reviewed their NBA preparations, and provided valuable suggestions for improvements.

The Valedictory Ceremony of the two-day workshop was presided over by Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, who delivered the concluding remarks, highlighting the outcomes of the FDP and its contribution towards enhancing NBA preparedness among faculty members and strengthening institutional quality initiatives.

As an ICC member, the MBA Faculty facilitated a POSH Awareness Program for HydGen employees housed at Sahyadri

Dr. Sushma V, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, facilitated the POSH Awareness Program for HydGen employees housed at Sahyadri on 18th Dec 2025. She is an ICC member of HydGen as per the POSH Act for a period of 3 years. Sushma is an ICC member of GAIL India, Mangalore as well. The session aimed to create awareness on maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, while familiarizing employees with their rights and responsibilities under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
The program covered key aspects of the POSH Act, including the definition of sexual harassment, preventive measures, reporting mechanisms, and the role of the Internal Committee. As mandated by the Act, organizations with more than ten employees are required to conduct periodic POSH awareness programs, and this session served as part of HydGen’s annual compliance and commitment to workplace ethics and gender sensitization. Mr. Chaswin Tauro, Head-HR coordinated the program. More than 30 employees, both physically and virtually, were present for the program.

ECE students Advance to Round Two at RoboFiesta ‘25

Fifth-semester students Ashwin Suresh, Vaishak D Karkera, Neha Raj, and Sanjana Kumar Amate of the Dept of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) cleared the first round of RoboFiesta ‘25. They earned the opportunity to participate in the second round held at the RV Institute of Technology and Management.
During the on-site evaluation, the team presented their project on a Smart Public Distribution System (Smart PDS). The second round proved to be a highly enriching experience, offering valuable exposure to a competitive innovation environment, expert evaluation, and peer learning.
The interaction with the judging panel provided constructive feedback, helping the students identify limitations in their current approach while gaining insights into potential improvements and future enhancements. This experience significantly contributed to refining their problem-solving perspective, technical understanding, and confidence in presenting real-world solutions.

Skill Enhancement Course: Financial Modelling for final year MBAs

Dept. of Business Administration (MBA) organized a Skill Enhancement Course on “Financial Modelling” for final-year MBA (Finance and Dual Specialization) students from 11th to 19th Dec ‘2025, facilitated by Mr. Rahul Singh, Portfolio Manager and Founder of Artha Chanakya, and Mr. Deepak Ravishankar, Consultant for Accounting. The course began with the basics of MS-Excel and gradually progressed to advanced financial calculations, financial model development, model-building techniques, and data validation. It was designed to equip students with essential analytical and technical skills required for effective financial decision-making in a dynamic business environment.
The program offered strong practical exposure, especially in the areas of stock markets and investment opportunities, through real-life examples and hands-on exercises. Students gained insights into key areas such as Advanced MS-Excel, Financial Modelling, Leveraged Buyout (LBO), DCF valuation, interest and EMI calculations, impact of economic factors on financial markets, fundamentals and technical analysis, equity, derivatives, and other financial assets, enabling them to connect theoretical concepts with real-world financial applications. The course concluded with an assessment, and certificates were issued to students based on their performance.

Dr. Jithendra Kumar Das, former Dean of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), visited Sahyadri on 22nd December 2025 and interacted with the Heads of Departments and faculty members of the MBA Department. The interaction began with a presentation on Sahyadri and its achievements by the Chairman, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary. This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director – MBA Program, who shared a detailed glimpse of the MBA Department, highlighting its academic initiatives and accomplishments.
Later, Mr. Das addressed MBA students on the theme – ‘Excelling in Management Education’. During his interaction, he emphasized the importance of structured thinking while preparing for presentations or speeches. When assigned a topic, students were advised to break it down into sub-themes, research each component thoroughly, and then integrate the insights into a cohesive whole. This, he noted, is a critical management skill.
According to Mr. Das, management students must go beyond conventional thinking, ask questions when assigned tasks, and develop the habit of inquiry. He highlighted that management education is not limited to classroom instruction but involves being informed about all aspects of management and understanding how theory translates into practice.

He encouraged students to practice continuously, make mistakes, seek feedback, and work on improving themselves. Feedback, he said, helps individuals identify gaps, refine their approach, and gradually move towards excellence.
Mr. Das explained that management tools are not physical or visible in nature; rather, they are conceptual and applied through thinking, decision-making, and action.
Sharing from his own experience, he remarked that no teacher directly taught him how to develop certain capabilities; instead, these skills evolved through self-learning, experimentation, and application.
Mr Das advised students to actively seek out mentors and teachers for themselves and to commit to lifelong learning.
He highlighted that an individual cannot remain the same every day, as the world around them is constantly changing. To stay relevant, managers must evolve, think creatively, and proactively identify issues rather than merely react to them.
Concluding his address, Mr. Das stressed that reflection and feedback are essential for personal growth and for progressing towards managerial excellence.

Mr. Nagaraja (Naga) Prakasam—renowned Angel Investor, Impact Entrepreneur, and Thought Leader—visited Sahyadri on 22nd Dec ‘2025, and engaged with MBA students in an inspiring session on Entrepreneurship.
With over 26 years of global experience across the USA and India, Mr. Prakasam is a full-time angel investor with 21 start-up investments, 5 successful exits, and active involvement on 15+ boards. He is the Co-founder of IAN Impact and Founder Chairman of the Native Angels Network (NAN), through which he champions entrepreneurship, particularly in non-metro and rural regions.
Featured by Forbes as a social investor driving change, Mr. Prakasam serves as Mentor-in-Residence at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, and is closely associated with the IIT Madras Incubator and IIMA–CIIE. During his interaction, he shared valuable insights on building purpose-driven ventures, leveraging India’s strengths, and creating sustainable impact through innovation.

The Grand Finale of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Junior 2025, a quiz competition for PU students, was held with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation at Sahyadri on 23rd Dec 2025. The guests of the occasion were Dr. Jithendra Kumar Das, Founder – OptiServe Dynamics; former Director General of FORE School of Management, New Delhi; and Founder Dean of IIM (Noida Campus); Mr. Sunil D’Souza, social worker associated with real estate projects and mergers & acquisitions; and Mr. Karthik Salian, alumni guest from the MBA Batch 2020–22, currently working as Manager – Sales and Operations at Golden Sports, Mangalore.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director–MBA Program. Prof. Monisha Shetty, Coordinator of the event, shared the vision behind Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Junior, highlighting it as the first initiative of its kind at Sahyadri. The MBA 2025–27 batch attended an Outbound Training Program at Nature Bound Sahyadri, Ankola, held from 17th to 20th December 2025. The scenic camp nestled in the Sahyadri region became a dynamic classroom where nature met leadership learning. 179 first-year MBA students and 3 second-year students took part in this enriching four-day journey, under the supervision of Prof. Ramesh K. G. and Prof. Sagar Attavar.
Nature Bound Sahyadri is well known for its experiential outdoor education programs that push participants beyond their everyday comfort zones and foster life-skills through adventure and reflection. The organization blends nature treks, team challenges, navigation exercises, rope work, and other engaging activities that build resilience, critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration — all crucial competencies for future managers.
The training took students away from conventional classroom settings into a hands-on learning environment, where every task was an opportunity to understand team dynamics, strategic problem-solving, stress management, and leadership under pressure. Participants also learned the value of environmental stewardship and mindful engagement with the outdoors, as the camp emphasizes a “Leave No Trace” approach, encouraging respect for nature while learning.
Throughout the four days, students collaborated on challenging tasks, navigated natural terrains, and reflected on personal strengths and areas for growth. The experience fostered deep peer bonds, provided moments of self-discovery, and inspired many to emerge more confident and adaptable — qualities that will serve them well in both corporate and personal journeys. Academic Exposure Visit: Students and Faculty Attend ‘Government Guarantee Schemes’ Program for Case Study Development

A total of 10 first-year MBA students, accompanied by faculty members Prof. Padmanabha B, Prof. Anumesh D. Kariappa, Prof. Sanath Kumar N, and Prof. Abhishek from the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, attended the programme on ‘The Implementation of Government Guarantee Schemes’ held at Town Hall, Mangaluru on 23rd Dec, 2025. The programme was organised to review the progress and impact of various guarantee schemes aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of citizens.
During the visit, the students actively interacted with stalls set up by different government departments. These interactions helped them understand the objectives, benefits, and implementation mechanisms of the guarantee schemes, including their role in employment generation, social security, and inclusive development. The students also engaged in discussions with government officials, gaining first-hand insights into policy execution, administrative challenges, and the real-life impact of public welfare programmes.

A motivational and career-guidance session titled “Innovate to Elevate: Smart Preparation for Engineers” was organized for first-year engineering students on 27th Dec, 2025.
The session was led by seventh-semester engineering students Ms. Srishti Rai M, Mr. Skanda Ganesh P. V, Mr. Swasthik R. Prabhu, and Mr. Pratheek G. Shetty, who are placed in reputed organizations. Sharing their placement journeys and real-life experiences, the speakers emphasized the importance of early preparation, innovation, consistent effort, and skill-oriented learning.

The Infosys recruitment drive was held on 8th Dec ‘2025, for the role of Specialist Programmer, offering a CTC of ₹21 LPA. The process began with a brief introduction about the company and the role, followed by a three-hour online programming assessment consisting of coding problems of varying levels of difficulty. The test evaluated candidates’ problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and programming proficiency. Based on the assessment results, one student was shortlisted and advanced to the next round of interviews.

CSE students presented a research paper at IEEE COSMIC 2025

Final-year CSE students - Charith Rai, Srujan M. Naik, K. C. Shodan, and Hemanth A. Naik, under the guidance of Dr. Poornima B. V, presented their research paper titled “Domain-Adaptive GAN for Underwater Image Enhancement” at the 2nd IEEE COSMIC 2025, organized by Sahyadri. The proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore and are Scopus-indexed.
The paper proposes a Domain-Adaptive Generative Adversarial Network (DA-GAN) designed to enhance underwater images by learning domain-invariant transformations. It effectively converts degraded underwater visuals into natural, air-like outputs without the need for paired training data, significantly improving image quality for underwater applications.

ECE students participated in Sambhram’25, a national-level technical fest at SDIT, Mangaluru

Two students from the fifth semester - Jasmitha C and Sinchana Bhat G M, from the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), participated in technical events—Gerber Battle (PCB Design) and IoT League (Mega Circuit Build)—at Sambhram’25, the national-level technical fest hosted by Shree Devi Institute of Technology (SDIT) Kenjar Mangalore.
In the Gerber Battle, students designed a complete PCB within one hour—right from interpreting the schematic to selecting footprints, placing components, routing the board, and exporting error-free Gerber files. The event provided a strong platform to apply PCB design skills under time-bound conditions.
In the IoT League, the team built a Smart Environment Monitoring System using an ESP32, which measured temperature and humidity, displayed data on an OLED screen, and triggered alerts using an LED and buzzer. They also integrated the system with Blynk IoT for real-time mobile monitoring, completing an end-to-end IoT workflow with on-spot component constraints. Both events offered valuable exposure to rapid prototyping, practical engineering applications, and real-time problem solving.

Department of Business Administration organized an engaging session titled “From Headlines to Spreadsheets: A Hands-on Session on Event Study Using Excel and SPSS” on 3rd Dec, 2025 by the Research Club. Prof. Sanath Kumar K conducted a practical workshop on conducting an Event Study to measure the impact of specific events (e.g., wars, policy changes) on market prices. Students received a step-by-step, hands-on guide through the entire process, preparing and aligning financial data in Excel, calculating expected returns and performing statistical tests for Abnormal Returns in SPSS, interpreting results to determine an event's significance. Students gained direct, applicable skills to translate a real-world event into a structured, quantitative analysis using common research tools.

From LeetCode to LLMs: A Journey Through Modern Tech

Sahyadri Open-Source Community (SOSC) organized an engaging TEK TALK session titled “Logic Reloaded: The CP Breakdown & Behind the Buzz: How GenAI Works” on 29 November 2025. Pratheek G Shetty, SOSC Advisor and 4th-year CSE student, delivered an insightful breakdown of Competitive Programming, covering LeetCode fundamentals, problem-solving strategies, time–space complexity, and key DSA concepts like HashMaps, prefix sums, and range-sum queries. His session helped students understand how to approach coding challenges effectively.
The second half of the talk was led by Pranam N Kotian, SOSC Member and 2nd-year CSE student, who introduced the audience to the world of Generative AI. He explained machine learning vs generative models, neural networks, transformers, GPT evolution, diffusion models, and how LLMs predict text using embeddings and vector space. The session concluded with practical insights on prompting, use cases, and how GenAI is reshaping automation.

ED Club of MBA Dept. hosted ‘Fame Frame’ - Sell it if you can for first-year MBA

The ED Club hosted an energetic and fun-filled activity called “Fame Frame”, where creativity truly took centre stage. The session began with each participant writing a single word on a paper, which was later shuffled and used to surprise the teams.
One member from each team picked seven random papers, and teams were also assigned a product and a brand ambassador. Their challenge was to use all seven words creatively while marketing their product. This sparked quick thinking, teamwork, and plenty of imaginative ideas as students worked together to build engaging and often humorous pitches.
“Fame Frame” turned into a lively blend of learning and laughter, giving students the chance to showcase their communication skills and spontaneous creativity. The activity helped build confidence, strengthened teamwork, and reminded everyone how exciting the creative process can be.

ECE Dept. conducted Parent-Teacher Interaction for 3rd Semester engineering students

Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) at Sahyadri conducted its first Parent–Faculty Interaction for the newly inducted 3rd-semester students. This meaningful gathering served as an important platform to review student progress, align expectations, and reinforce the collaborative partnership between parents and faculty.

2. Importance of Skill Labs for internship and job opportunities
3. Timely submission of course registration and compensatory exam documents
During the session, Dr. Anush Bekal, Head of the Department highlighted several significant aspects related to discipline, safety, and academic readiness. Parents were requested to discourage students from commuting by two-wheelers, and instead opt for the college bus, public transport, or parent drop-off when necessary.
The department reiterated its commitment to enabling internship opportunities for every student, stressing the requirement of maintaining a minimum CGPA of 8.0 for internships and campus placements. Parents were reminded of college working hours and the expectation that students stay on campus until 4:30 PM as part of academic discipline and structured learning routines.
The session was thoughtfully organized by the class teachers, Abhishek A B Nayak and Dr. Nisha, whose efforts ensured seamless coordination and impactful engagement throughout the meeting. Mehnaz Fathima C also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the Mentor–Mentee Scheme.

CSE Research Paper Accepted at 3rd World Congress on Smart Computing (WCSC 2026)

The research paper titled “ResNet-Driven Microscopic Kidney Stone Classification with YOLOv8 Gatekeeping on CT Imaging” has been accepted for presentation at the 3rd World Congress on Smart Computing (WCSC 2026), scheduled to be held on January 10–11, 2026, at Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square, Bangkok, Thailand. The conference is organized by the Soft Computing Research Society in association with the International Auditors for Digital and Data Management Association, Bangkok. The accepted paper will also be published in the conference proceedings and included in the SCOPUS-indexed Springer Book Series, Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, reflecting the quality and relevance of the research.

CSE (AI&ML) students' Research Paper Accepted at the International Conference

The research paper titled “LifeLink: A Secure and Privacy-Preserving AI Architecture for Healthcare Resource Allocation and Dynamic Logistics”, authored by fifth semester students of CSE (AI & ML) - Maharaj, Sathwik O. V., Shravan S. Naik, and Anas Mohammad Farooq — under the guidance of Dr. Jayashree T. R., has been accepted for presentation at the 3rd World Congress on Smart Computing (WCSC 2026).
The conference will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on January 10–11, 2026, and brings together global researchers and practitioners in the field of smart and intelligent computing.
The proposed LifeLink architectural framework addresses critical research gaps in cross-institutional healthcare data sharing by providing a secure, scalable, and privacy-preserving solution. The work establishes a strong blueprint for the next generation of resilient healthcare logistics systems.

Pool campus Recruitment drive by Coffee Day Global for MBA students

The placement drive by Coffee Day Global Ltd was conducted at Sahyadri on 9th December 2025 to recruit candidates for the position of Sales Trainee. The recruitment team, comprising Mr. Sohan B, Branch Head – Sales, Karnataka, and Ms. Hansa Devi from the Human Resources department, opened the session with an informative pre-placement talk. They provided an overview of the company, its sales operations, the responsibilities associated with the role, and potential career growth pathways.
A total of 35 students participated in the drive, including 12 students from St Aloysius Institute of Management & Information Technology, Mangalore. The selection process began with a Group Discussion designed to assess communication skills, teamwork, and analytical thinking. Following the discussion, 17 students were shortlisted for the Personal Interview based on their performance.
The final results are awaited as the company continues its evaluation process.

Skill & Innovation Exposure Visit by GPC Sullia Students

On Friday, 12th December 2025, Sahyadri Campus welcomed 117 students from Government Pre-University College, Sullia — 60 from Information Technology (Computer Science) and 57 from Automobile.
The students explored the cutting-edge Labs, the Incubation Centre, and received valuable career guidance as part of their visit. They were warmly welcomed by Ms. Manasa Shetty (PRO/COS) and Mr. Sudhin Shetty (Assistant Financial Officer), who guided them across the Sahyadri Campus and the Sahyadri Skill & Incubation Centre. Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, interacted with the students and had a brief yet insightful discussion. The visit also featured an inspiring session by Mr. Johnson Tellis, CEO, on “Winner’s Mindset,” motivating students to think beyond boundaries and aim for excellence. A day filled with learning, inspiration, and meaningful engagement — truly a memorable experience for the visiting students!

ED Club of NBA Dept. Hosts ‘Pitch Reboot’ to Ignite Innovation among MBA students

The Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club of the MBA Department, as part of its ongoing club activities, conducted “Pitch Reboot – Repitch the Failed Shark Tank Ideas” exclusively for first-year students on 12th Dec, 2025.
Participants reworked on unsuccessful Shark Tank ideas and presented improved versions with stronger strategies and innovative approaches. The pitches were evaluated based on creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, presentation skills, and overall concept fit, allowing students to showcase clarity, originality, and coordinated effort in their repitched models. The activity encouraged fresh perspectives and helped budding entrepreneurs build confidence in pitching and problem-solving. It also provided a practical platform for students to experience real-time feedback and refine their communication skills. Overall, the event created an energetic learning environment that inspired students to think boldly and innovate beyond conventional ideas.

ECE Students Participate at the OpenAI Academy × NxtWave State-Level Buildathon, Bengaluru 2025

Six 3rd-semester students - Sheethal R Bangera, Srujan Kulal, Shama A, Sushanth, Suvith Rai and Pooja – and two fifth-semester students - Vinayak Chandavar and Sumukha Nadiger of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) participated in the Karnataka State-Level Round of the OpenAI Academy × NxtWave Buildathon, held at S-Vyasa Deemed to be University, Sattva Global City Campus.
This intense 48-hour buildathon challenged young innovators to ideate, prototype, and present AI-powered solutions addressing real-world needs — and the students rose to the occasion with remarkable dedication and teamwork.
The 3rd-semester students’ project, a Career & Skill-Mapping Platform, is an AI-driven guidance tool designed to empower students early in their academic journey by helping them make informed career decisions.
The 5th-semester students worked on a hybrid plastic waste segregation system integrating both software intelligence and hardware mechanisms to identify and classify plastic waste efficiently — promoting sustainability through smart automation.

Shreejal S Rai, an alumni of the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) presented the research work titled “Novel Design of a Reusable Smart Switching Network for 8-Bit Binary Search ADC” at the 7th International Conference on Emerging Electronics (ICEE) 2025 organized by the IEEE Electron Devices Society, held at Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park, Bengaluru.

CSE (AI&ML) Students Qualify for National-Level OpenAI Academy × NxtWave Buildathon

CSE (AI &ML) students Prewal Fredlin Fernandes and Sneha S. Shetty along with the students of Department of CSE Amogha H. Shetty and Sahana S. Madival successfully participated in the Karnataka State-Level Round of the OpenAI Academy × NxtWave Buildathon, held on 6th and 7th December 2025 at S-Vyasa Deemed to be University, Sattva Global City Campus. The 48-hour buildathon witnessed intense competition among teams from across Karnataka, focused on developing AI-powered solutions addressing real-world and social-impact challenges.
The event followed a rigorous evaluation process, with projects assessed solely on the basis of the submitted project video, deployed application, and source code, without any live presentation. Working under strict time constraints, the team developed an innovative project titled “Udhaan – an AI-powered education portal for dyslexia students.” The platform aims to promote inclusive education by offering simplified learning content, AI-based assistance, and interactive educational games to enhance engagement and learning outcomes for students with dyslexia.

MBA HR students attend a Seminar on ‘Understanding Labour Codes and their Implications’

A Seminar on “Understanding Labour Codes and their Implications” was jointly organized by KCCI and NIPM Mangalore Chapter at Ocean Pearl, Mangalore, with the objective of creating awareness about recent labour law reforms and their practical implications. Two of the MBA HR students - Ananya Amin and Yuha attended this seminar, gaining valuable exposure to current labour legislation.
The programme was inaugurated by Captain Brijesh Chowta, who highlighted the importance of labour codes in strengthening industrial harmony, ensuring compliance, and protecting employee welfare in a dynamic work environment.
The technical sessions provided an in-depth understanding of the Social Security Code. The seminar also included information on the key provisions, coverages, and implications for employers and employees, emphasizing the role of HR professionals in effective implementation.
The seminar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing participants to clarify doubts and engage in meaningful discussions.

Immersive MBA: A Three-Day Program on Managerial Economics Course

As part of the Immersive MBA program, Rahul Singh, Co-Founder of Artha Chanakya, conducted a three-day class for first-year MBA students from 22nd December 2025 to 24th December 2025 on the subject Managerial Economics. During the sessions, he shared his real-world experience and explained important topics such as fiscal policy, monetary policy, Indian economic institutions, and the digital economy in a simple and practical manner. The classes were highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and asking questions throughout the sessions.
Overall, the three days were engaging, informative, and enjoyable, helping students better understand how economic concepts work in real business and policy environments.

Experiential Learning in Action: YIASCM-MBA students explore Sahyadri’s Incubation Ecosystem

As part of the MBA Entrepreneurship course, 130 students from the PG Department of Commerce and Management, YIASCM, visited Sahyadri on 22nd Dec ‘2025, for an academic exposure.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem, incubation practices, and professional work environment. An insightful session was conducted by Mr. Johnson Tellis, followed by a guided visit to the Incubation Centre, where students gained first-hand understanding of start-up support systems and innovation-driven initiatives.
