Being a part of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management has been a truly enriching experience. Under the leadership of Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi, our Head of the Department, the department has fostered a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. The faculty members are approachable, supportive, and always encourage us to explore beyond the classroom. Through technical workshops, hackathons, industry interactions, projects, and student-led initiatives, the department has helped me strengthen my technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and confidence. The emphasis on practical learning and collaboration has played a significant role in my academic growth and continues to inspire me to learn, innovate, and strive for excellence. The encouragement, mentorship, and learning environment within the department have played a significant role in shaping my academic journey, making it both meaningful and rewarding.

The department offered far more than a curriculum - it provided an ecosystem of learning built on excellent infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and a genuine emphasis on hands-on problem-solving. Regular technical talks by industry experts, workshops, hackathons, coding competitions, and innovation-driven activities gave us early and meaningful exposure to emerging technologies and real-world challenges. What truly set the department apart, however, was its faculty. My journey as an entrepreneur started while I was pursuing my engineering.
