Mechanical Engineering students shortlisted for “INDIA DESIGN WEEK 2021” Grand Finale, a 36 hours Hackathon on Future of Making

Salvin Ashok Pinto, Vineeth Lester, Abhishek K Kamath and Nishan Rai, students from Sixth semester Mechanical Engineering are shortlisted for “INDIA DESIGN WEEK 2021” Grand Finale, a 36-hours Hackathon on Future of Making, organized by ICT Academy and Autodesk at National Level to be held on 17th and 18th April’2021.These students were shortlisted by having participated in “Design now Challenge” an Institute Level Modelling Competition by using AUTODESK FUSION 36O platform which was organized by Dept. of Mechanical Engineering along with ICT Academy in association with Autodesk, Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME), Sahyadri Institute Innovation Council (IIC) and FLAMES-Mechanical Engineering Students Association in March 2021. Prof. Kiran Prakash is the Chief Coordinator of the event from the institute. The objective is to ignite the creativity from the young minds in the area of Design Thinking, Product Design & Advance Simulation using Autodesk Fusion 360 software. This year, Autodesk is very selective regarding the college and based on recommendation and commitment that the college will fulfill the criteria of Autodesk, it has accepted and approved Sahyadri to conduct this event among the 50 colleges across the country.
