Chairman holds Interaction session with the First year MBAs

Chairman Mr. Manjunath Bhandary had an interactive session with the 1st year MBAs on 23rd March’2021. In the initial part of the programme, he played a video that conveyed to students that they get value depending on the people they are found with and the place they belong to. He forced the students to think and answer as to how they research in prior when they buy a mobile phone and questioned the students if they did similar research before choosing their college to purse their MBA Course. He urged the students to now accept MBA as their course and Sahyadri as their institution to pursue this professional course and also accept all initiatives and activities as their own and take keen interest in them.
He informed students that Sahyadri focusses mainly on the activities and introduce initiatives like Immersive MBA that ultimately lead to enhancing skills and knowledge and thereby increasing the Placement opportunities.
He forced the students to think – Why MBA? He also enlightened the students on the expectations of MBA Graduates. He urged students to mentor 5-10 undergraduate students/Juniors which will enhance their leadership capabilities contributing to Networking Skills and efficiency in People Management.
He explained the present scenario of Management Education and showed the latest facts and figures of 93% unemployed MBAs. He stressed on how different MBA is from under graduate studies. Students were asked to analyze the amount they pay for every hour in a year and how their parents are at loss when they miss classes.
He concluded his interaction by asking students to acknowledge everyone with a SMILE, Use Social Media responsibly as it is one of the platforms of Hiring & Selection process. Think before you Post, Share and Comment. Finally, he asked students to appreciate the positives and learn to ignore one negative in a series of events that happen in life.
