NSS Unit inaugurated for the Academic year 2018-19

The National Service Scheme for the Academic year 2018-19 was inaugurated at Sahyadri on the day which is observed as ‘Rastriya Ekta Diwas’. Prof. Yashwanth Gopal Shetty, Principal, Mangalore Institute for Fire and Safety was invited over as Chief Guest.
As a part of the inaugural, Leadership Training Programme was conducted for the NSS volunteers by Prof. Yashwanth Gopal Shetty. Mrs. Shreelatha U.A., Programme Coordinator for NSS, Sahyadri, spoke about the objectives and importance of NSS. Dr. Rajesh, Dean, Academics lead the volunteers through the NSS Oath. Dr Srinivas Rao Kunte, Principal delivered the Presidential Address. Mrs Rashmitha Girish Nishal hosted the programme.
