TCE organized a Prototyping Expo - 'Gamers Street 2022' for the first-year engineering students

Technical Career Education (TCE) organized the Prototyping Expo - 'Gamers Street 2022' on 25th June 2022 for the first-year Engineering students in the campus. As a part of the Social Innovation Program, a prototyping course was conducted for 12 weeks, and the students were assigned a challenge to develop a game prototype for visually impaired kids.
The Chief Guests - Ms. Harinakshi from SDM Mangala Jyothi integrated school; Ms. Divya from Roman and Catherine Lobo school for blind; Dr. Rajesha S, Principal; Dr. Prashantha Rao, Head-Dept. of Basic Science and Dr. Shamanth Rai B, Dean-Academics, lighted the ceremonious lamp to mark the beginning of the event. The Prototyping Expo witnessed 68 teams consisting of enthusiastic young talents building unique and innovative games for visually impaired individuals. The esteemed judges - Mr. Johnson Tellis, CEO of Technical Career Education (TCE); Mr. Gautham Nayak, COO at Technical Career Education (TCE); Mr. Gouse Khan, Innovation Manager at Technical Career Education (TCE); Ms. Harinakshi from SDM Mangala Jyothi integrated school, and Ms. Divya from Roman and Catherine Lobo school for blind evaluated the prototypes and the top 10 among the 68 prototypes were shortlisted for next round.
Mr. Calistus D’Souza, Principal of Roman and Catherine Lobo Residential School and Mr. Ramesh Acharya K, Headmaster of SDM Mangala Jyoti Integrated School evaluated the selected top 10 prototypes. Team 6 Chargers consisting of Joel Rixon Dzousa, Nishanth Ganesh, Amrutha Shingankuli, Anvitha Rao K, M S Anjali, and Divya Poojari won first place, while Team The braille spell with team members Shivan V Naik, Muah, Shreevathsa, Prithvi, Thanvi, and Chaitanya won second place and Chethan, Sudheesh, Sanath, Shrilatha, Abhishek, and Ayush from Team Fanatic Cadre won third place.
