Engineering student wins Youth for SDG Award, in the event at Hyderabad

Mr. Nishanth Gowda, a student of First Year Electronics & Communication Engineering participated in an Event ‘Youth for SDG - Sustainable Development Goals’ from 2-8 Nov’19 at Hyderabad, in collaboration with United Nation Development Program (UNDP). Mr. Sunil Kumar of 4th Year Computer Science Engineering was the mentor.

The above project had won an award in SSTH - 2017 and Mr. Nishanth had represented Sharada PU College, then. And now, he has won the Youth for SDG Award, and the same project is selected by NAIN for further development.

Mr. Nishanth is entitled to get an internship in Netherlands for 6 months, which will be sponsored by investors from Citi, UNDP. Upon completion of the project, as a product it will be launched by the United Nations.

As a SSTH winner Mr. Nishanth chose Sahyadri to pursue his dreams to come true. The seed sown 5 years ago to promote innovations in the region has begun to show fruitfulness in abundance.
