Student Association CLOUDS Organize ORPH-HELP Event

CLOUDS, (Computer Legends Of Unified Department @ Sahyadri) , Students’ Association of Computer Science and Engineering conducted “Orph-Help;” an intra-departmental activity which is an initiative to help the elderly, orphans and differently-abled people of the society. The function was inaugurated by Dr. J V Gorbal, Dean Acadamics. Co-ordinated by Miss. Shetty Mamatha Gopal, faculty members and office bearers of CLOUDS and all students were present during the function. Competitions like  quiz, variety programmes were conducted for students and faculty members, this paved an opportunity for them to show their talents. As part of ORPH-HELP event Rs 10,000 has been donated to Spandana Oraganization (a Home for Children).

Workshop On Python Application Building

A two-day workshop on Application Building using Python was held for the semester VI students of computer scienceand information science engineering. Forty-two students were part of the workshop. Mr. VinayRaghavan, Tech Lead, Future Focus Infotech was the resource person. Students learnt new python frameworks and will have a chance to intern at Future Focus Infotech.

Seminar on Redhat, CCNA and latest technologies 2016-17

Department of CSE organized a seminar on Redhat, CCNA and latest technologies. It was conducted by Mr.Vivek ( Associate director IIHT), Mr. Rodriguez (Soft skill and IELTS trainer), Mr. Dheeraj Rao ( Marketing head IIHT), Mr. Suhas Rao  Junior developer engineer), Ms. Arpitha ( Software trainer) and Ms. Aurea Fernandes (Hardware/Networking trainer) for 6 th Semester CSE students. The seminar was indeed inspiring and they gave an insight of technologies like Redhat, CCNA, hadoop and cloud computing, that students can select after engineering.


Alumnus Conducts Training Programme for Students

Karthik Bhat an alumnus of the college and software developer in Unicourt India and his colleague Santhosh K, senior software developer, organized a training session for the students of the third yearcomputer science & engineering and Information Science & engineering on the Basics of Python. Forty-two students gained valuable insight during this training programme.


Guest Lecture on Corporate Life by Perin from ICFAI

                Mr. Perin, Area Manager, ICFAI Business School, addressed final year students of Computer Science & Engineering and InformationScience & Engineering on corporate life. He briefed about time management skill, competition in the corporate world, decision making and problem solving skill.

Mr. Perin enjoys sharing knowledge and experiences with others for the last 22 plus years. He is a highly experienced facilitator with subject matter expertise in HR, L&D, OD, Marketing, Sales & BD in the domain areas of retail, automobile, BFSI, telecom, IT and thousands of participants have benefited from his insights.
